What is the Beckham Law?
Officially called the "Impatriado" regime, it's nicknamed after footballer David Beckham who famously used it in 2003.
Key Benefits

Who Qualifies?
Requirements:
- Not Spanish tax resident in past 5 years
- Moving to Spain for:
- Employment by Spanish company, OR
- Remote work for Spanish company, OR
- Director role in Spanish company
- Apply within 6 months of arrival

Scenario: Software engineer moves to Barcelona
- Spanish salary: €80,000
- US stock dividends: €15,000
With Beckham Law:
- Salary: €80,000 × 24% = €19,200
- Dividends: €0 (exempt)
- Total tax: €19,200
Without Beckham Law:
- Salary: €80,000 × ~37% avg = €29,600
- Dividends: €15,000 × 19% = €2,850
- Total tax: €32,450

Application Process
- Obtain work contract/authorization

- Register as resident (Empadronamiento)
